This website works without analytics tools, advert­ising cookies or embedded third-party services. Fonts and graphics are hosted on our own server. Below you will find exactly which data is nev­er­the­less processed and what rights you have.

Visiting the website

So that your browser can display the pages, our server processes tech­nic­ally necessary inform­a­tion: your IP address, the date and time, the address requested and the details your browser sends. We do not keep an access log. Only if a technical error occurs may a short entry con­tain­ing this inform­a­tion be written to the server’s error log. It serves solely to fix problems and is deleted auto­mat­ic­ally at regular intervals.

The legal basis is our legit­im­ate interest in a secure and func­tion­ing website (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

The website is hosted on a server operated by Hetzner Online GmbH, Indus­triestr. 25, 91710 Gun­zen­hausen, in a data centre in Nuremberg, Germany. Your data does not leave Germany in the process. The con­nec­tion is encrypted through­out.

Contact by e-mail

If you write to us, we process your details in order to answer your enquiry and, where applic­able, to prepare an engage­ment (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR), otherwise on the basis of our legit­im­ate interest in respond­ing (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). We delete the data as soon as it is no longer needed for this purpose, unless statutory retention oblig­a­tions apply. Our mailbox is operated by IONOS SE, Elgen­dorfer Str. 57, 56410 Montabaur, Germany.

Cookies and local storage

We do not use cookies for analytics or advert­ising. There are exactly two cases in which something is stored in your browser, and you trigger both yourself:

• Language choice: if you choose a language with the DE/EN switch, we store this choice in a cookie called “sprache” (value “de” or “en”, lifetime twelve months) so that the home page respects your choice on your next visit.
• Checklist in the journal: if you tick questions in the checklist, your browser remembers this locally. This inform­a­tion never leaves your device; you can delete it with “Reset” or in your browser settings.

Both are strictly necessary for a function you have expressly requested (Section 25(2) No. 2 TDDDG) and therefore do not require consent.

Links to other websites

Our articles link to sources such as the European Union’s legal database. A con­nec­tion to the other website is only estab­lished when you follow such a link; its own privacy policy then applies.

Your rights

You have the right of access (Art. 15 GDPR), rec­ti­fic­a­tion (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restric­tion of pro­cessing (Art. 18), data port­ab­il­ity (Art. 20) and to object to pro­cessing based on our legit­im­ate interest (Art. 21). Simply send us an e-mail.

You may also lodge a complaint with a data pro­tec­tion super­vis­ory authority. The authority respons­ible for us is the Bavarian Data Pro­tec­tion Authority (Bay­erisches Landesamt für Datens­chutza­uf­sicht), Promenade 18, 91522 Ansbach, Germany.
